Setting up UniVRT

UniVRT is a platform that allows you to watch multiple cameras and record videos.   You can view up to four different kinds of cameras at once, and choose individually to record from a selected period and play back later!  First download the software first.

Using HermesDDS AP

HermeDDS AP is a very simple to use control panel to manage your friend list and devices.  Just like all other HermesDDS service, you need to have an account, click here to register an account now from the official Portal website.

    

You can share your devices, and see your friends' devices from here.  It also automatically re-direct you to download the software to view the devices if you don't have it installed.

You are probably familiar with HermesDDS Portal already.  Portal helps you mange your devices.  Log into your HermesDDS account on the Portal website or you can right click your device on HermesDDS AP and pick device management, it will direct you to the Portal website as well.

Real Time Streaming

The most important thing for home surveillance is REAL TIME video streaming because you want to know right away if anything happens to your home.  However, the major problem is the upload bandwidth, especially if you want to monitor your home from multiple location or devices.  Or, if you are using some other software through cloud service or IP camera, the firewall and IP setting can be very confusing.  HermesDDS service simplifies the IP and firewall setting for you.  It provides you a private cloud therefore you won't experience the upload speed problem.
