How to share your device to your friend?

Step 1

Right click on your device you would like to share with your friend.  Then pick "Share device".

Step 2

You can pick your existing friend.  Pick your friend's name and add it to the right column.  If you want to share to someone is not a member yet.  You can put in your friend's email address.  HermesDDS will send your friend an invitation to join HermesDDS and guide your friend through the process.

Watching your pet when you are away!

I used to cage it when I was renting the apartment because some tenants were not that pet-friendly.  And since other tenants were not pet-friendly, I did set up a camera near the cage.  I used my old cell phone as a camera and able to watch on computer and my android phone.  (Cell phone is small and portable.  The camera is just to make sure everyone I was still watching my dog even though I am not home.)

UniVRT is a platform that allows you to watch multiple cameras and record videos.   You can view up to four different kinds of cameras at once, and choose individually to record from a selected period and play back later!  First download the software first.

Real Time Streaming

The most important thing for home surveillance is REAL TIME video streaming because you want to know right away if anything happens to your home.  However, the major problem is the upload bandwidth, especially if you want to monitor your home from multiple location or devices.  Or, if you are using some other software through cloud service or IP camera, the firewall and IP setting can be very confusing.  HermesDDS service simplifies the IP and firewall setting for you.  It provides you a private cloud therefore you won't experience the upload speed problem.
